Experienced internist who embraces complexity yet acts with simplicity.
Dr. Haydar has spent the last few years attending conferences in the United States and Europe to discover how to extend the quality of life for his patients. One of these discoveries has been advanced hormone replacement therapy and other medical modalities. In 2015, Dr. Haydar completed his ten year Board of Internal Medicine Re-Certification, one of the most difficult medical tests. He is also a member of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.
After arriving from Lebanon in the 1970s, he completed college and graduated the University of Ciudad Juarez Medical School, in the top 10% of graduates. After this he completed internal medicine residencies in New Jersey and New York.
Dr. Haydar moved to El Paso in 1984 as he felt a profound bond with the community while at the University. After living in New York, he felt El Paso deserved the best that medicine has to offer.
Dr. Haydar established the first American Diabetes Association in El Paso. Dr. Haydar also became Director of Southwestern General Hospital’s wound care center. He then became Chief of Staff and Chief of Medicine at Columbia Medical Center- West (now Las Palmas Medical Center) and served on the Board of Directors.
In addition to being Board Certified in Internal Medicine, the Doctor became a Certified Clinical Densitometrist, focusing on Diabetes and Osteoporosis.
Dr. Haydar established EP Premier Medical Group to combine a medical and holistic approach to treating patients with multiple medical conditions. Due to the shortage of specialists in El Paso, he has utilized his continuing medical education over the decades to also learn various aspects of Endocrinology and other advanced specialties.
